Frequently Asked Questions

  • When will my oil be delivered?

Any time between when you place the order and the "deliver by" date on the order page, and no later than the "deliver by" date on the screen. Typically 1-2 business days, but we may come out sooner!

  • Do you deliver on the weekend?

Not typically, unless we are super busy.

  • Do you deliver during storms?

Yes, we do! However, severe weather can sometimes cause small delays in service.

  • What are your hours of operation? When are your trucks on the road?

Typically 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, sometimes outside of those hours when busy.

  • What do I do if I run out of fuel?

You will need to bleed your oil line. We can do this at the time of service if you provide our office with instructions to access the heating system and pay the $60 restart fee.

  • Do you do service work?

During the off-season, we offer routine maintenance, service work, and installations. Typically, these are done May through September.

  • Is oil efficient?

Oil is an efficient heating option for Maine homes when systems are properly tuned to match specific usage needs. With regular maintenance and adjustments, oil furnaces can deliver consistent warmth even in the state's harsh winters, maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing waste.

  • When should I order oil?

Typically, we recommend ordering at a quarter tank so that you are sure to take at least 100 gallons. This also leaves you with enough oil to last until we come out to make the delivery.

  • How do I know I am getting the lowest price?

We guarantee the lowest-priced heating oil in our delivery area. If you find a better price, not only will we match it, but we’ll also beat it by a full 2 cents/gallon! We promise to always give our customers the lowest price on heating oil because we don’t believe in overcharging for a product that is a necessity during our harsh winters. If a payment is not received, the card on file may be charged for the outstanding balance.

  • Can my payment amount change?

Yes. Payment amounts may fluctuate based on fuel costs, market conditions, and usage levels. Budget payment amounts may be adjusted at any time due to changes in fuel pricing or household consumption. • How long does a budget agreement last?

Budget agreements generally run for 11 months. Customers may enroll at any point during the year, though joining later in the heating season may lead to higher payment amounts. Toward the end of the agreement term, renewal information will be provided for customers who wish to continue in the program.

  • When are payments due?

Payment schedules can be customized to meet your preferences. Payments may be arranged on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis, and you may also select specific payment dates instead of fixed days of the week.

  • When will my deliveries take place?

Customers enrolled in automatic delivery service will typically receive a delivery once the tank level reaches approximately one-quarter full, unless other arrangements have been made. Since fuel usage differs from household to household, exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.

Customers who are not enrolled in automatic delivery are responsible for contacting our office to schedule deliveries and specify the number of gallons requested. Please note that accounts receiving less than the 100-gallon minimum delivery may be subject to additional fees.

  • How do I start a budget agreement?

Getting started is simple. Once a weekly, biweekly, or monthly payment amount has been agreed upon, you will need to sign the agreement and provide payment information along with updated contact details, including a phone number and email address.

  • What are the advantages of a budget agreement?

Budget agreements help make heating expenses more manageable by spreading costs into predictable payments throughout the year. They also reduce the likelihood of large winter balances and offer the convenience of automatic fuel deliveries, helping ensure you do not run out of oil unexpectedly.
